PDO Threads

PDO Threads
The PDO (polydiaxonone) thread lifting/smoothing procedure uses safe, absorbable surgical sutures placed into the subdermal layer of the skin to initiate collagen production. The procedure can result in increased firmness and elasticity of the skin in the treated areas. In addition to stimulating collagen production in the skin, PDO threads provide either a smoothing or lifting effect to the area in which they are inserted. The threads will then naturally dissolve and are absorbed by your body over the next few weeks/months following your treatment. PDO threads may be used to treat flattened cheek tissue, nasolabial folds, jowls on the lower face, droopy eyebrows, mild neck cutaneous bands, crepey skin, and several areas of the body: including the chest, breasts, buttocks, and folds above the knees & elbows.
The nature of cosmetic procedures may require a patient to return for numerous visits to achieve the desired results or to determine whether the treatment may not be completely effective at treating the particular condition. The effects of lifting threads should be noticeable immediately after treatment. However, maximum effect will occur in 4-6 weeks. A single lift thread treatment will last and continue to show effect for up to 12-18 months. For smoothing threads, a total of 3-5 repeated treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks for optimal results. Results of smoothing threads are not immediate but will gradually be seen over the following months.
